Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd started as a specialist activity within the Sale & Purchase department of Lambert Brothers Shipping who's origins go back to the 1800's. Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd quickly became known as one of the few specialist tugbrokers in the UK.

With the onset of North Sea oil exploration in the 1970's, demand for specialised offshore support vessels increased rapidly and this led to a decision to open an Aberdeen office in addition to the long established London office.

The company quickly expanded and became recognised as one of the leading shipbrokers for providing offshore marine services worldwide. In the 1980's the company became part of the TSB banking group who in turn sold the shipping division to the Inchcape group in 1992.

Deeming independence to be the best way of serving our business and clients, the offshore division of the company negotiated a management buyout and commenced trading as Offshore Shipbrokers Ltd in January 1993, having retained the enthusiastic support of 100% of its clients.

Through our long trading history we have established many links with vessel owners and other specialist organisations worldwide and are well placed to offer a service which is tailor made to suit our client's needs.
